A BIRTHDAY
GARDEN PARTY

CHEERS TO 21!

After creating my Oversized Garden Party collection, I decided to host a garden party for my 21st birthday.

Prioritizing sustainability, I spent over a month sourcing everything on the table (plates, placemats, cups, candles, vases, napkin rings, etc.) from local thrift stores.

My friends brought the vision together by dressing for the occasion in a very "Fancy Nancy" fashion, totally disregarding in the chilly January weather.

And it turned out more perfectly than I could have imagined. To this day, it was by far the best birthday I have ever had.

SOURCING

Behind the scenes, I went on many shopping adventures to acquire all the table setting pieces that were used.

While most of this was found at various Goodwills, I spent time at estate sales, consignment shops, and religiously checked Facebook Marketplace. In the end, I was able to find everything I needed and present a curated, second-hand table.

COORDINATING
TABLE & GUESTS

After sending out invitations, my phone started blowing up with "What are we wearing to this?!" texts.

So, I created this mood-board for inspiration on what vibe would make this vision come to life. Ultimately, if they came wearing trash bags, I would not bat an eye. I felt so loved that they wanted to celebrate with me.

That said, my friends love a reason to dress up, and they came dressed to the nines, and every single one looked stunning!
